Raksha Bandhan is one such festival that all sisters look forward to. However with changing times the ambit of Rakhabandhan has grown beyond just siblings.  Rangmunch got in touch with some of the actors who play dutiful siblings on screen and asked them what they think about the festival.

My Rakhi Brother:I do not have a brother, but there are two very dear friends who are my mooh bola brothers Pradeep and Mani.

I feel protective about:  a friend called Pallavi.

Best on Screen relationship: On and off screen the best sibling relationship I share is with Arnav (Barun Sobti). Last year Rakhee had created a rage on the show, we had some very beautiful scenes, I hope this year too will be no different.

My Rakhi Brother: I have spent all my Rakhee’s with my younger brother.

Rakhi at Home: As a child I loved wearing saree’s so Rakhee would always be an excuse to wear one. Now I am here, so I don’t know what I will do. Since I will be home for my birthday, I will tie the Rakhee and come back.

Rakhi Demands: My brother is still young, so he cant fulfill my demands, I will perhaps fulfill his demands in stead.  I feel very protective about my own brother as I am older.

Rakhi to me: I generally don’t tie a rakhi as I don’t believe in it.

The feel Protective about: I feel very protective about my niece since she is very young and delicat.

Best On screen relationship:  If you ask me about the best on screen sibling relationship, I like the relationship between Suhana and Shubbh’s on my previous show Santaan. They were fun and protective about each other. There was loads of warmth.

Rakhi Sister: I have a sister who ties a Rakhi every year but right now there is no one who is a Rakhi Sister as such.

Rakhi in School: When I was in school till 6th or 7th Standard there were around 15-20 rakhhi's on my hands every year. May be I evoked very brotherly vibes but  that ended after that. Now thank fully no one does that.

Long Lost Brothers: All I get to meet are long lost friends, who pop up saying “bhai, kaisa hai… give me your number, lets meet etc etc” (laughs) …

I feel Protective about: my father in real life.

Rakhi Brother: I have an older brother, and a couple of cousins to whom I tie a  rakhee too. In Punjabis Rakhi is not that lavish, we just do tilak, and then money exchange happens.

My Brother and Me: Sometimes I ask my brother for whatever I want and I end up getting it.  My brother is very happy and excited that I am acting, he calls me each day after an episode and his opinion matters a lot.

I am protective about:  (Laughs)I am the protected one in my Family since I am the youngest.
