We are all set to see Kardashians for a while longer as they sign a 3 year contract, Cannes Classics to include 13 iconic films, and India is geared up for Hugo.

JawsCannes Classics to include Hitchcock and Spielberg

A selection of 13 iconic films will feature as Cannes Classics in the upcoming Cannes Film Festival, May 16-27. They are to include restored films by eminent directors Steven Spielberg, Agnes Varda, Sergio Leone, and Roman Polanski among others. The Cannes Classic tradition began in the year 2004. Some of the classics include Once upon a time in America directed by Leone and restored by Martin Scorsese’s Film Foundation, ‘Tess’ directed by Polanski who will be present at the Cannes with the star of the film, Nastassja Kinski, ‘Jaws’ directed by Spielberg, and ‘The Ring’ Hitchcock’s silent film. Cannes Classics will also screen short films and documentaries, which will include ‘Woody Allen: A Documentary’


KarKardashians sign 3-year deal with E! Network

A new 3 year deal has been struck with the most bankable family, the Kardashians. One of the most popular reality shows, ‘Keeping with the Kardashians’ has successfully completed six seasons and is all set to begin its seventh season starting May 20 this year. The entire family of Kardashians, Kim, Khloe, Odom, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian, Bruce, Kris, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. It is said that the Kardashians will get more than 40 million dollar for the deal. It is not known if Musician Kayne West who is currently seeing Kim Kardashian will be part of the series.

Hugo 2India awaits Scorsese’s Oscar Nominated Movie ‘Hugo’

Martin Scorsese’s 3D film, Hugo is set to hit the Indian screens on May 4. The 3D film, which was a November release in the US, was nominated in eleven categories in the Oscars this year. It is released in India by Viacom18. ‘Hugo’ is the story of a boy who lives between the walls of a Paris station and the film follows his adventures as he goes on a quest to unlock a secret left to him by his father. It is based on a Brian Selznick’s novel, ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret.
