Episode#64 – May 17, 2012

Punches in the face, kicks in the guts, twists ‘n turns, squats ‘n ducks and it all ends with a big “BANG!!!!” And here is my BIG BANG THEORY FOR TODAY……

Not going into the logistics of the mission possible “Save Ansh”, let me just straight out bring forth the shining stars of the episode.

1. Prateek and Pankaj trying to tell Yash the truth. Even though they were not able to spill the beans, the seed has been sowed in Yash’s mind, for later. Even when Aarti was gesturing for Pankaj not to say anything, Pankaj was ready to go ahead with it; and he will go ahead with bringing Yash to par on the truth. Or it very well maybe the Seniors Scindhias who might spill the beans in angst. Spill over it will in any form, once Yash spill starts asking questions. I like the fact that Pankaj was not going to hide anything despite Aarti not approving it. This only reiterates that even in the future, the brothers will stick close and not hide things when they feel something unfair is happening in the family.
2. Aarti resting her head on Yash’s shoulder. That will be etched in his mind forever (and in mine forever), and he already made up his mind that he would be the one to support and take care of her. He already respects her a lot and he does not even think twice about going and executing things for his family. He has wholeheartedly accepted Ansh and Aarti as his family. Aart is a strong and matured woman, but from time to time, any woman will look for that support from her husband and partner. The support that she never got from Prashanth. How many times have we not cuddlerd or rested ourselves on our better halves for just that moment of reality that we do have someone to hold on to, we do have someone to rely on and we do have someone who will take care of the family.
3. Aarti always spoke her mind and I believe this is a great quality in a woman. She never hides anything from Yash barring her status (which right now is on the back burner), she will be Yash’s confidant and friend going forward. And Yash will start relying on her more and more. Even when she wants to accompany him to the kidnappers, once she makes up her mind, she sticks to it. So let’s see how Aarti handles the storm raging still.
4. Her reaction to Yash getting shot was well executed. Her initial reaction is slow, which is reasonable considering that although he is her husband, she does not love him. She is reacting to the end result of an action and is shocked that Yash was the one who is facing death instead of her for Ansh. She is reacting to the act of a human getting shot. She is reacting to the act of a person she knows getting shot. This is the defining moment for her heart to accept Yash’s place in her life. Now all is left is her mind. Granted that they showed her maang and her mangalsutr, but in her mind she is thinking of how far Yash could go to fulfill his promise to his family and nothing to do with the fact that he is her husband.
5. Ansh’s question of stating to Aarti that he is a bad boy and so his first dad left him was such a natural question for an innocent toddler. He could have heard someone talking, or it could just be that he was feeling guilty and this had all happened because of him, and he is scared that his Naye Papa would leave him too. It was heart wrenching to see a young innocent boy, going through much trauma, and all he ever wanted was a father and just have a normal family like all his friends.

Tomorrow would be the emotionally charged episode and a fiery end to a week of intense drama and revelations. We know where the blame is going to land, we know there is going to be a barrage of words, and there is going to be an ocean of tears and pain. And of course, we know there is going to be Mrs. G who will go off the deep end that her son is in danger of dying all for not that even belongs to the Scindhia family. Who cares if Aarti went through the same anguish of her son being kidnapped, and who cares a crap if she might end up being a widow; oh no, no, no….Mrs. G is always the victim and will always want to be the victim!

And we wait for the Friday fury….

Episode#65 – May 18, 2012

The hand that rocks the cradle can also rock a child’s world – literally!

I think today was the first time I actually shed a tear when I looked at Aarti’s plight. A mother, drowned in anguish in the fear of loosing her son; a wife who just acknowledged the fact that her husband is not what she had believed to be, but in fact is so much more than she could have imagined; a daughter-in-law blamed for everything and anything that happened in the Scindhia household. She knows that she might have overstepped her boundary and said things in her pain, but she never meant any harm and none of this is her fault either.

This one question that she asked her mother, had so much fear, uncertainty, despair and pain. Really what was her fault She was not at fault when Prashanth left her for another woman. She was not at fault now for trying to get her son back and she was not at fault for Yash getting injured. Just imagine the feelings of utter helplessness that Aarti is going through, of no fault of hers and everyone is a victim of circumstances. Today, the look on her face in the hospital, or when she was standing at the entrance of the Scindhia Mansion, just tore at my heart.

The Senior Scindhias, even in the midst of a family crisis, are hell bent on getting their way. Mrs. G, not even for one second thought how Aarti must have felt when her son was in danger, as she is going through the same plight. And besides, what the heck, Yash went into the situation knowing full well that it could be dangerours and Mrs. G is worrying about her grown up son, and here we have a 4 yr old kidnapped and traumatized!!!! Is there even any comparison???

Loved Pankaj, Prateek and Vidhi taking the initiative to talk to the Seniors. We know how supportive they are going to be of Yash and Aarti. The Senior Scindhias , in their arrogance and tryst for power, have lost the respect of their children and nothing can be worse than this. In their childish behavior of wanting to have the upper hand, they have lost sight of the values and morals that they throw in our faces all the time. In their tunnel vision of thinking, they are disrespecting the very sanctity of marriage.

Aarti is not the one to give in to any injustice. She is one stubborn, courageous and strong mother, and now a wife who will go where her heart guides and she will do what she believes is right. She has unconsciously accepted Yash’s support and knowing that he really has taken her and Ansh into his fold unconditionally; this alone is enough strength for her to fight for her rights.

Yash holding onto Aarti’s hand was a real nice surprise, like Aarti resting her head on Yash’s shoulder for support. Yash will always support her and dissuade her fears and insecurities as Aarti will lead Yash into a second chance of happiness and make a place for herself in his heart.

Friday’s child seems to have raged her emotions and is heading to a cooling stage. Now, we wait to see if Aarti can keep her promise of staying back until Yash regains conscious……

Nice episode, good performances and good continuation and not too happy logistics.

PS: Alima wonders, how the hospital staff can be so rude and ill mannered! Is that how it is in India?????
